District H Crossfit – Running Club w/ Coach Lauren

The goal of this 15-week running club is to improve our cardio-respiratory endurance and fitness base via high-intensity runs. These high-intensity runs will consist of short intervals on the track (100-400 meters) and longer tempo runs or time trials (1-10 miles). This program is ideal for members looking to improve how their body processes and uses oxygen or for those training to run the Houston half/full marathon in January!

Format:
Tuesdays @ 5PM: short intervals on the track
Saturdays @ 9AM: tempo run or time trial @ various locations

(Rice running loop, Memorial park trails, Buffalo Bayou, etc.)
No “easy” runs!
Schedule:
Begin October 4, 2016 (first Tuesday in October)
End on January 14, 2016
15 weeks total

Lauren is a NCAA Division II Track and Field athlete from Colorado School of Mines. She specializes in Running & sprint mechanics.
